If your heating and cooling system has seen better days, now could be the right time to replace it. Participating Frigidaire dealers are offering up to $1,300 cash back on a new, ultra-efficient ecoLogic™ system. Many of these systems will also qualify for the federal tax credit (10% of installed costs, up to $500) and local incentives. Ask your dealer for details. 2011 Tax Credits for High Efficiency Heating and Cooling Equipment

In December 2010, the U.S. Congress passed a 2011 tax extender bill for federal tax payers who install qualified energy-efficient retrofits in their home. This includes higher efficiency heating and cooling systems, such as central air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps and packaged systems. These credits are only available for improvements made in 2011. An eligible tax payer may claim up to $500 in tax credits, subject to caps based on the type of equipment installed.
